Bill: oftentimes the goat is immunized with an adjuvant. Thus polyclonal serum from a goat immunized with just the vehicle and adjuvant and of course the Fab2 fragment preparation would be one control. Another control would be to use and anti IgE Fab2 fragment but normal inidviduals do have a few of the cells but very few as a rule. You could also use and irrelavant antigens such KLH, oval albumin, von Wilebran factorDear Fellow Flowers, etc. Would be interested in what others would suggest. Don't forget to wash and or cytoshed if appropriate! gerald > >When measuring surface immunoglobulins by Flow, for example with a PE >conjugated anti IgM, what would be an appropriate control? > >These are polyclonal goat anti human Fab2 fragments. > >Thanks in advance for any suggestions. > > >-------------- >bill throndset >bthrondset@rigelinc.com >Rigel, Incorporated >408-617-8106
