Bill: oftentimes the goat is immunized with an adjuvant.  Thus polyclonal
serum from a goat immunized with just the vehicle and adjuvant and of
course the Fab2 fragment preparation would be one control.  Another control
would be to use and anti IgE Fab2 fragment but normal inidviduals do have a
few of the cells but very few as a rule.  You could also use and irrelavant
antigens such KLH, oval albumin, von Wilebran factorDear Fellow Flowers,
etc.  Would be interested in what others would suggest.  Don't forget to
wash and or cytoshed if appropriate!  gerald
