Cytometry Software

I just want to thank everyone who responded to my question about Cytometry
software. However, my hard drive crashed last week, and I lost my
responses. The first question was about Coulter's Expo software for
windows, and I only got one response from someone using it, and mostly
inquiries about people wishing to use the software themselves feeling the
need also to move from the DOS platform. There were concerns about the
software not being able to run the Autoclone device. I have not yet talked
with Coulter about this, though I think next year we will need to put it
into our budget given the migration to Windows 98 which some say is the
first PC Microsoft system to be Y2K compliant.

For the second question about the HP system on our FACScan. Most people
recommended software for analysis like WINMDI and Flowjo which seems to be
getting rave reviews. I only got one reply from someone using the Phoenix
Flow marketed system for Data acquisition from the FACScan.

If your remarks were not adequately represented by my memory, please feel
free to respond again. This is the best of my recollection, though there is
hope that a company can recover my hard drive data. Again, thank you all
for your replies.

Oh, just one note regarding MS Word. For Word 6.0 for Windows and Word 95,
there is a converter available from Microsoft (www.microsoft.com) to read
Word 97 files. I have used it and it works pretty well, especially since
early Word 97 editions did not save correctly to Word 95 format.
