Sharon et al, Education for all is, in my opinion, one of the main reasons for the existence of this list. Compared to some on this list, I too am a relative novice, while to others, I am a source of information. Like Alice wrote, I occasionally skim and ignore many of the messages with simpler questions assuming others will answer them, and so far have been correct. Sharon, your experience with direct replies points to me as definitely one of the culprits. For the most part, I tend to reply only to the person asking the question and only when I am sure of the answer. However, the topic of education is near and dear to my heart, so I think we need to make sure any requested information, no matter how basic, gets answered for all to see. The FAQ idea recently mentioned is good, but let's not use that as an excuse for not trying to directly help someone in need.
