Hi-

I, being not too many years away from the "getting started" point, make
an effort to answer the questions posted that I'm SURE I know the answer
to. I usually do double-check my memory with some sort of reference to a
book or article (to ensure that I don't mislead), and send what I know to
the person, rather than the list. I know some things; I don't know alot
of others and wouldn't presume to comment on those.

If those at my level reply to simpler questions with accurate
information, and you all who are above that level respond to our
questions (still simple, but not as much so?) with accurate information,
then we all get answers, and no one group is burdened.

I suppose there are some questions that are never answered, but I bet
that's a rarity. I've always gotten several replies to posts, more being
sent directly to me than to the list. I don't think your comments are
unfounded by any means; it's good to be reminded that input is necessary
and useful.

Sharon
