This buffer was mentioned recently, formerly called Hematall, now simply called Isotonic Diluent, made by Val Tech (Brackenridge PA USA, cat # H606-20). We've been using it for years. The "secret ingredients" not listed on the container (listed as "stabilizers and inhibitors") are: Phenoxyethanol (2.48 ml/l [v/v] to control pseudomonas) disodium EDTA (0.199 g/l) tetrasodium EDTA (0.199 g/l) Thanks, Darren Hickerson dhickerson@brody.med.ecu.edu Core Flow Cytometry Facility, Brody 4W37 Department of Microbiology and Immunology East Carolina University School of Medicine Greenville, NC 27858 USA Phone: (919) 816-2799 Fax: (919) 816-5018
