I was contacted by someone today that is reviewing a paper containing some flow data. She asked some very basic questions about how to interpret a 2 parameter cytogram (dot plot). I gave her some advice on how to interpret the plot and what info it was lacking, in my humble opinion. I was pretty busy today so I just gave her a short list of other info that should be included about flow cytometry data collection. Instrumentation, filters, lasers, # events, etc. Since the work wasn't done in my lab, I couldn't give her the specifics directly. Is there a resource somewhere to help reviewers in situations such as these so they know what to look for?
