I agree with Nigel -- authors of replys should be responsible for deciding
when their reply is globally interesting, or too specifically responsive for
everyone else to care.  Then, simply reply to the sender in the latter case, or
submit a NEW (non-reply) message to the group (which is how I'm "reply"-ing 
now) thru the  SMTP%"cytometry@flowcyt.cyto.purdue.edu"  "Cytometry Mailing List" address.

 . . . assuming, of course, this is waht you're talking about ( I haven't really been paying attention).  If not, then never mind.
