CD4/8 Double Positives Follow UP

     Thanks to everyone who posted a responese to my initial question on 
     CD4/8 double postive staining in a female with hypothyroid.  I'd just 
     like to update everyone.  Turns out that it was a plasma artifact 
     causing the double labeling.  Washing the cells  removed the double 
     positive artifact completely.  Now I have another question.  In 3 of 
     the responses I received they also saw this staining artifact in 
     people on synthetic thyroid hormone for hypothyroid.  This seems kind 
     of odd (at least to me) for 2 relatively rare events to coincide like 
     this.  I checked the literature but unfortunately flow panels are not 
     routinely run on people with hypothyroid.  If anyone has any ideas on 
     this possible(?) correlation please let me know.  This is not a 
     pressing issue, just one of those little questions I like to play 
     with.
