Hello! We would like to sort unfixed HIV+ samples using our FACSCalibur and the cell concentrator. I am under the impression that the FACSCalibur is a completely closed system and should not create aerosols. I have called BD and was told they thought it should be ok. They are checking into it. I "think" it will be ok too, but I need more reassurance than thinking - I need to know it will be safe. Anyway - is there anyone who has done this and has documentation as to the safety (or not) of this instrument? Thanks in advance for your help!
