OK, It seems annexins are used for other things in addition to apoptosis. It is also used to identify PS on the surface of activated platelets, and phospholipid asymmetry. The researcher here is looking at phospholipid asymmetry in rbc's, not apoptosis as I said yesterday. Several people asked if we had calcium in the system since we are using an ionophore, and yes she did. So with this in mind any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.
