DNA analysis of mollusks -Reply

I do not know much about the mollusk, but we have routinely examined
blood cells from frogs.  These animals can be induced to have 3N
configurations.  The protocol we use for staining is the procedure of
Vindelov, LL 1977

Basically, it is a 0.1% NP40 with RNAse (3.5 U/ml) and 0.75mg/ml PI in
TRIS.
