Continuing on the thread of 4 color combinations which work well with a single laser: We are using FITC, PE, ECD (PE-Red610), and PE-Cy5 with good results. This is the combination recommended by Coulter for use on the 4-color XL. The only caveat (which probably goes for other 4-color combinations as well): it is important to titrate the reagents and become familiar with their single color staining properties before using them together. ******************************* Albert D.
