Dear Colleagues,

Does anyone have experience using Molecular Probes LacZ gene expression Kits.

At the moment we are considering using ImaGene Green, and CD3/PE and 
HLA-DR/Per-CP for gene product detection in T and Dendrtic cells.

Does anyone have any practical exprience regarding which acyl chain length we 
should use - we really don't want to permeabilize the cells.  Also, which would 
you recommend the DetectaGene kit or the ImaGene kit. 

We will be accquiring data on a BD FACScan but later want to sort for gene 
expression using a FACStar Plus equipped with a 488nm argon ion laser - we also 
have secondary HeNe and HeCd lasers.

Any tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
