FACSCAN SIDE SCATTER

We also see this dropping of the side scatter signal on our Facscan. It happens 
rarely but it is annoying. I agree with Nancy - if it were a physical problem 
like a clog or bubble, then all signals should be affected. To me, it looks more 
like communication- the side scatter detector "shuts off" for a second. The 
other reason I think this,  is that it is exactly the same type of pattern every 
time- the signal drops straight down. I don't think a clog or bubble would be 
that reproducible. 

We also recollect the sample rather than gate.
