I have also seen this and until now I always thought it was air bubbles 
coming through. I do not think it is an electrical problem though. I 
have had the machine plugged into several different phases. We have, I 
think, 4 different transformers in house and it has been plugged into at 
least two different ones. I will try to go through them systematically 
and report back. 

I have used the same method as Dennis Broud and just gated them out.
