Haviland, Ph.D." <HAVILAND@kids.wustl.edu> ...Although we can detect PerCP on the EPICS, we have not been able to do so on our FACStarPLUS! We are still waiting to hear from BD...and meanwhile we are trying to figure out the sets of filters and dichroic mirrors for the FACStar+. Maybe you or someone else out there could help? ------ PerCP is very photolabile. 50mW of 488nm light is enough to kill the fluorochrome in my experience. Those who have reported that it works have used either air-cooled argon lasers or N.D. filters to decrease the power output of a water-cooled laser. A 670 band pass filter will work just fine for detection of PerCP fluorescence. Dave Coder dcoder@u.washington.edu
