commercial interests

Just a thought that we don't want to make the flow network too hostile to use
by commercial interests. We all benefit from balanced critiques of various
software/hardware/cytometer options. But the network also has the potential to
do lots of harm to instrument manufacturers through ill-considered or
non-random comments by users with mistaken ideas. It's only fair that the
manufacturers have the chance to try to set the record straight if they can.

(Parenthetically, I myself have found that I get *MUCH* faster answers from
manufacturers when I voice an "innocent" query over the network than when I try
to phone technical support directly!)
