The EPICS Elite Flow Cytometer features the capability to analyze and to sort up to 5 colors simultaneously while performing multi-parameter applications such as DNA quantification, fuctional studies, chromosome enumeration or physiological measurements.

The cell sorting capabilities of the Elite allows for the rapid separation of large numbers of specific cell populations using one of the four pre-defined sort modes. A fifth sort mode offers custom sort set-up. Greater than 99% purities can be achieved, even at data rates of up to 15,000 cells per second.

Our unit features several air cooled lasers and water cooled lasers. We have also adapted several lasers to fiber optics. Standard software includes Elite version 4.x for DOS. Elite for Windows software is also available which permits acquisition and analysis of the Elite in either the Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 environments.

Our Elite is currently fully used for instrument development and testing. It is not used for regular service or research work.
