Rien que la Vérité - the Team

U.S. Government

Within the guidelines of the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the U.S. government supports local projects developed with extensive community involvement that are targeted at the specific needs of the host country, in this case the D.R. Congo, and developed in coordination with local non-governmental organizations and others. The Emergency Plan is the largest commitment ever by any nation for an international health initiative dedicated to a single disease -- a five-year, $15 billion, multifaceted approach to combating the disease in 26 countries around the world. The United States now leads the world in its level of support for the fight against HIV/AIDS. The U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa Public Affairs section originated this program.

Smallpower

Smallpower is about making music videos, TV shows, and short films in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The work is crafted to promote realistic beliefs about disease and violence, and to encourage viewers to make informed choices about their health and well being. The present incarnation in the DRC is in the form of the weekly serial drama, Rien que la Vérité.
