Flow Cytometry Technologist  -  Genzyme Genetics
Applications are being accepted for a technologist who will perform specimen prep, immunophenotyping, DNA/cell cycle and lymphocyte subset analysis at our Santa Fe, New Mexico clinical laboratory. Analysis will be performed on bone marrow, whole blood, lymph node tissue, and body fluid samples. You will analyze results and make determinations concerning unusual or abnormal specimen findings; track and facilitate flow of work through the laboratory insuring that quality control measures are maintained and appropriate specimen turn around time requirements are met. The selected applicant will help the company pioneer its developing 'state-of-the-art' flow cytometry department.
Candidate will possess a bachelor degree in biology or appropriately related science, three to five year's experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing flow cytometry and be able to work a non-traditional work week (some late afternoons and Saturdays).  Strong computer skills in a Windows environment with the ability to solve technical and organizational challenges are a must.
