Dear flowers, we would like to use alexa-phalloidin to evaluate the presence of intracellular bacteria by flow. We know from microscopy that actin accumulating bacteria can be clearly seen above the background and were wondering if flow could also work. To my understanding only the accumulation and the ensuing localized fluorescence makes the bugs visible by eye (in the fluorescent microscope). But could flow still work in that setting?
