Hello to everyone,

Based on the replies that I received, the investigator felt that he should
be more specific in his questioning. I've attached his question. Again
thank you in advance for any comments.

Benefits of a 50u nozzle vs 70 or 100U nozzle for analysis of pulse width or
integrated vs peak fluorescence in budding yeast.

We want to take advantage of the putative changes that occur just prior to
septation in the budding yeast. The idea is to take advantage of the
laminar orientation of the unseparated mother-daughter cells that should
occur in a tight core. Is there an advantage in this regard to using a
smaller nozzle, rather than reducing the core in the larger nozzle?

Probably few have tried this so, alternatively, does anyone have evidence
that G1 cv for DNA content is better with a 50 as opposed to 70-100u
nozzle.

Thanks
Bob klevecz
