Dear Marj,

We perform monitoring of these transplant patients in our lab too. Initial
samples are setup using a routinely prepared cocktail of CD3/CD4/CD8/CD45 and
CD3/NK/19/45, fluorescence gated, and analyzed for Total T (CD3), T-Helper
  (3+4+),T-Cytotoxic/Suppressor (3+8+), true NK (3-NK+), and B-cells (3-19+).
Followup (post Immune-suppression therapy) samples are set up with CD3/CD2/CD45,
fluorescence gated, and analyzed for true T (CD3+CD2+) as well as T-NK (CD2+CD3-).

The baseline results versus the follow-up studies can then be compared for
thymoglobulin efficacy since large increases in CD2+3- (normally NK cells) may
indicate the presence of T cells that have lost their CD3 recognition but are still
  in circulation.

This is simple and easy to use as a monitoring panel of Transplant therapy.

  Sincerely,
  Bruce
