Basophils express CD4 weakly - about 1log lower than T cells from the
same donor.  If you want to determine the frequency of CD4+ cells within
the granulocyte cluster you should label the cells with CD4 FITC and
then produce a 2-d dot plot of CD4 FITC versus FL2 (assuming this is the
orange channel).  The autofluorescent eosiniphils from withinth the
granulocyte cluster will appear as FL1+/FL2+ whilst the true CD4+
basophils will be FL1+ only (some of the CD4+ basophils will underlie
the autofluorescent eosinophils and would be lost without using this
method).  When I was working in this area some years ago, we found  2-5%
of granulocytes from normal blood donors were CD4+ using this technique.
