A senior position is about to become vacant through staff resignation and

scientific leadership in the further development of the service. The

in stem cell assays by flow cytometry and cell culture would be advantageous
but is not essential.
Applicants will need good communication skills, be able to work effectively
in a team, display initiative, have a high standard of work, be organised
and work well under pressure.

The laboratory is an integral component of the haematological oncology and
bone marrow transplantation service for the Auckland District Health Board,

established expanding bone marrow and stem cell transplantation programme.
The referral population is over 1.5 million and centred in Auckland.

Auckland is a cosmopolitan harbour city with a population of approximately
1.5 million. The climate is temperate and there are world class facilities
for sailing and other ocean related activities, plus easy access to superb
beaches, mountains and wilderness areas. The nearest ski fields are 4 hours
drive away and the cost of living compares well with that of European
cities.
