ccf2 and fixed cells

I would be interested in hearing of any experience using the
ccf2/beta-lactamase reporting system and then fixing the cells before
measurement. In particular, any input as to optimal fixation
protocols would be appreciated.

In our hands, the cleaved ccf2 signal increases when fixed cells are
stored overnight in the cold. We would like to eliminate this, if
possible.
