I would be interested in hearing of any experience using the ccf2/beta-lactamase reporting system and then fixing the cells before measurement. In particular, any input as to optimal fixation protocols would be appreciated. In our hands, the cleaved ccf2 signal increases when fixed cells are stored overnight in the cold. We would like to eliminate this, if possible.
