Hello,
Having not done flow cytometry before I am looking for general advice on
using flow cytometry on isolated mitochondria (any references protocols etc
welcome). More specifically, I wanted to measure membrane potential with
rhodamine 123 and at the same time determine mitochondrial glutathione
levels using monochlorobimane. Are these the best markers to go for?

On a different topic, is it possible to use FACS to separate neurons from
astrocytes (to then get mitochondria from the different cell types)? Or do
neurons die rapidly too rapidly when their axons and dendrites are disrupted?

Look forward to hearing from people soon!
Regards,
Diane Lee
