Dear Fellow Flow Users,
I am interested in comments on this new case of Acute Leukaemia.
A 53 year old male presented with WCC-4.64 x 10^9/L, Hb-95 g/L,
Platelets-148 x 10^9/L and Blasts-1.21 x 10^9/L.
Bone Marrow flow cytometry results on the abnormal cells (78%) using
CD45/LogSS gating are for surface markers CD2, CD10, CD11b, CD13, CD14,
CD19, CD20, CD33, CD56 and CD61 <1%, CD15 -14% weak, CD34 - 98%, CD38 - 99%,
CD71 - 39% weak and HLADR - 95%.
For cytoplasmic markers CD3 and CD20 <1%, CD79a - 21% weak, MPO - 20% weak
and
TdT - 89%. There was no co-expression between CD79a and MPO.
In summary the patient is positive for surface CD34, CD38, HLADR,
cytoplasmic TdT and weakly positive for cytoplasmic CD79a and MPO.
I am looking forward to your comments.
Regards
Lynette
