monocyte adhesion

Not strictly a flow question but what is the molecular basis for
monocyte/macrophage adhesion to plastic surfaces. Fibroblasts are easily
detached by Trypsin but not adherent monocytes, which are more susceptible
to cold PBS/EDTA. What makes the difference?
