Hello Group,

Does anyone have experience using SYTO16 dye from Molecular Probes? I've
recently started using it and have found not only radiant green
fluorescence, but BRIGHT peaks in FL2, 3 and 4 as well! Not a desirable
characteristic when I have a second cell population of interest stained
with PE-Cy5. I've tried staining two cell types: a tumor cell line and
freshly-isolated leucocytes, with identical results.

This phenomenon is present when cells are stained at concentrations from
5uM to 1uM. All signal is lost with concentrations in the 10^-7 order of
magnitude.

Regards,
Tom.
