To those of you considering the Cytek 20-liter sheath system:

I have had one on our FACSCalibur for about a year and it works
well. However, a word of caution for 2-laser FACSCalibur owners. Cytek
sells 2 versions. They differ in the quality of the pressure
regulation. For FACSCans and 1-laser FACSCaliburs the lower end one will
do fine. However, for 2-laser Caliburs you must buy the higher end
system. You need the better pressure regulation to control the interlaser
timing which is of course a function of the sheath pressure. With the
lower end system the pressure can change slightly during filling of the
sheath tank. This change on a 2-laser system will throw off the interlaser
timing delay. We have the higher end-system on our 2-laser Calibur and
have not noticed any problems.
