To all, Judging by the answers to my June 11 query regarding cytometry training/employment, I'd give a qualified 'yes' to the implicit question, 'Are there opportunities for engineers in cytometry?' Perhaps the question should be posed more specifically. What is the minimal skill set a person, say from the engineering side of things, must obtain, as a prerequisite, if s/he hopes to find employment (and, yes, more training) as a cytometrist? I'm wondering whether a collection of this sense of implicit requirements, given that the better share of them probably follow more from the historical development of the field than from current needs, if in addition to helping neophytes, wouldn't be something useful to all.
