Flow Cytometry Instrumentation July 1, 2001 This notice is posted to serve as a public notice and request for bids for purchase of flow cytometry instrumention for the Purdue University Cytometry Laboratories (PUCL), Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA. Requirements: PUCL will be replacing current flow cytometry instrumentation. We require high quality flow cytometry instrumention with capacity for both sorting and analysis of multicolor specimens. Issues that will impact our purchase decision include (but not limited to) sorting capability (including sort speed, accuracy, capabilities), analytical capability (including sensitivity, color selection, and resolution), software (including capability, user interface and speed), support and maintenance over a 5 year period. The ability to perform kinetic assays, run large numbers of samples quickly, utilize an overall intelligent networked data management solution, are important considerations. Purchase decisions will be based on a combination of factors including but not limited to those listed above. The overall decision will be based on what we believe best serves the scientific needs of the PUCL faciltiy and the Purdue community. Further information about PUCL may be obtained from our website at http://www.cyto.purdue.edu While capabilities may reside in a single instrument, packages which satisfy the overall needs of our facility and will satisfy our scientific and management needs will be given equal consideration. Companies interested in supplying such instrumentation should provide confidential package quotations to the person listed below by July 31, 2001 to: Professor J.
