From: Bob Leif To: cyto-inbox Although Vallarino and Leif originated this technology, I can not see how one can obtain a reliable signal by exposing for 5 to 10 microseconds a phosphor with a millisecond life-time. If you do ever want to try this, the europium Quantum Dye is commercially available from Research Organics. I would highly recommend the use of the latest version of the Lanthanide Enhanced Solution. If you wish to try make this measurement, please let me know. I am concentrating my efforts on microscopy, array, and microtiter plates, where the long life-times and narrow emission are a very great advantage. J. R. Quagliano, R. C. Leif, L. M. An investigator has both a FacsVantage and a FACStar Plus with a UV capable laser which he would like to use, but the delay times may be an issue. If you have ideas or references about how this can be done, please respond to me, and I will pass it on. Thank you, Laurie Gilmour BD Biosciences
