Dear Colleagues:

The development of the Diabetes and Endocrine Departments at the
Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School have resulted in
the award of a training grant and the new establishment of cores. One of
the cores in high demand is the flow cytometry center.

We are looking for an individual with a Ph.D. and experience in the area of
flow cytometric analysis. This individual preferably should have 3-5 years
experience. This individual will work as a member of our laboratory and
help in both the instruction of new flow users on novel methods and the
specific analysis of cells. The title and salary will be commensurate with
experience. This can be either a part time or a full time position.

I would appreciate any help that you might be able to provide us by sending
us potential candidates for this position. Lynne Murphy, my administrative
assistant, is coordinating the interviews and can be contacted as outlined
below.

I thank you in advance for your attention to this request. Of course, I
realize many requests such as this have come across your desk so we have an
incentive program to promote the identification of the correct candidate. We
would like to award you a $500 check if you refer a potential candidate that
we hire and remains in our employ for at least three months. We appreciate
your efforts and want to reward you for taking the time from your day to
assist us in our efforts.

candidate that we hire. The new employee must be on the job for 3 months in
order to receive the bonus.
