Hi. My question deals with CD34 enumeration. I was wondering if anyone has experience working with the Beckman-Coulter StemKit or the B-D ProCount Kit. Our lab currently uses the StemKit and we have been having a lot of trouble getting the stemtrol procedural control to be within 10-15% of the assayed value on a daily basis. We believe our technique is correct, but the value for the control continues to fluctuate. We have considered switching to the ProCount Kit, but I understand it has limited applications. Our lab processes PBMNCs, stem cells, cord blood, and bone marrow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Sincerely, Tracie Piechota Cell Processing Tech II email: tracie_piechota@dfci.harvard.edu
