FCS to ASCII software *or* (better) Origin FCS binary Import?

I wonder if there are any (free) software programs for converting FCS (1.0
or 2.0) to ASCII.  I plan to import the ASCII files to Origin
(www.originlab.com) for analysis, so all I need is the conversion (DOS batch
file conversion would be sufficient).

Alternatively (and better), would be to import the FCS files directly to
Origin.  Did anyone, by any chance, write a binary import routine for
Origin?
