I have written an inexpensive, short introduction to flow cytometry: 'Flow Cytometry', M.G. Ormerod. 2nd edition, 1999. Publ. by Bios, Oxford. ISBN: 1 85996 107 X. It is available from amazon.com. It was designed to introduce new lab workers, students, etc. to the basic principles and applications. It is short so that it can be read easily in a couple of evenings. Michael Ormerod Message text written by "Douglas S. Smoot" > A postdoc here was asking for a good book to explain to him the basic principels of flow cytometry. He ALREADY has Howard Shapiro's book, but has found that difficult reading. Is there another book that you would recommend for him to read. I know Howard's book is an excellent book, I just need other good suggestions. I saw the list of books on the Purdue web site, but those books don't all have good summaries or recommendations attached to them. Thank you again in advance for your recommendations.
