Apologies for wrong info about SSC sensitivity (actually FL2)

Hello again,

I am very sorry to have wasted your time giving you
wrong information about the problem with the SSC
sensitivity. Actually I meant a problem with FL2
sensitivity. I have corrected the question and once
again apologise for the mistake.

To answer a question that has already been raised, the
flow cell is new (about 8 months old) and I try to
maintain as clean a system as possible.

The modified Q is below.
"We have an old FACScan linked to a HP platform. It
has been OK until recently. When I caliberate the
machine (with Autocomp)FL2 sensitivity fails as the
lower limit is not detected. I have tried
three lots of Calibrite beads (all within expiry, but
all three were not uniform suspensions), but the
problem remains. The BD service engineer also tried
swapping the FL2 and FL3 PMT's unsuccessfully (is it
allowed?). He has assured me that the FL2 sensitivity
failing will not affect CD4 counts with Simulset.

Any input as to whether the problem is with the PMT or
the Calibrite beads is welcome. I would like to be
sure that the problem is with the PMT before
purchasing it.

Thanking you in advance.
With warm regards,
Sandeep.
