Hi Randy,

It could be that there's a conflict in your desktop file - I really don't
know if it'll help, but it won't hurt to rebuild your desktop. Hold the
Apple and Option keys down when you start up your mac until the system asks
if you're sure you want to rebuild the desktop file, then tell it to go
ahead.

Alternatively, check the mappings of your imported file types in the "File
Exchange" control panel - this is split into two parts:

One allows you to map a Windows file "Extension" (.xxx) so that it will open
with a particular program - if you use a default suffix for your files, make
sure that it isn't being picked up by Outlook

The other part is a file translator that allows you to define which program
will open files of a particular Macintosh "type" and "Creator". If you're
importing from another file system, the files might have anonymous type and
creator "????" (or the creator of the program that you transfer them with) -
look out for any obvious greed on the part of Outlook.

If this doesn't help, you might want to look at a recent version of
FCSPress, it now has an "RGBgate" feature that uses the first three gates
you set to generate statistics for red(gate1), green(gate2), blue(gate3),
yellow(gates 1+2), magenta (gates 1+3), cyan (gates 2+3) and grey (gates
1+2+3). You can use more than one region to define each gate, and they can
be histogram, rectangular or polygon regions (although the colouring and
stats are only shown on dot plots).

You can download a copy from

http://www.fcspress.com/html/FCSPDownload.html

Cheers

Ray
