Colleagues The Purdue Cytometry labs web site ( home of this discussion list) is undergoing a redesign process. Please see the many new features on our web site such as a new cytometry JOBS page, a new search engine for our site, the email and the web, a central section which will have current news and info - and a place where we can advertize special meetings or events - this is unique in that you can email me to put somehing on the front page of our web site!! Note the link to the Sam Latt meeting that is coming up soon. http://www.cyto.purdue.edu You will see links to many important areas - please check them out. The Purdue web site received over 1.8 million visitors during 2000. It's by far and away the biggest cytometry site on the web. Over 600,000 of those were to the listings of THIS emial discussion group. Find out about forthcoming meetings, courses, educational events, congresses, etc.. Another section that is new is the Software Caltalog - this was originally developed by Dr. Eric Martz and is now with Dr. Martz' assistance, part of the Purdue site. Our goal is to make sure this repository maintains a record of everything software-cytometric...if you have some material - send it to me. Need to give a lecture on flow cytometry, fluoresence, confocal microscopy or image analysis? Check out the powerpoint file section on our web to download a preprepared fully operations powerpoint lecture!! FREE Finally, check out our new Bioscope we site - check out your BAC level after a congress dinner, play concentration using cellular organelles, or build-a-cell! Show your kids and your local school biology teachers.... http://www.bioscope.org Best wishes and happy web hunting Paul Robinson J.Paul Robinson, PhD PH:(765)4940757 Professor of Immunopharmacology Professor of Biomedical Engineering Purdue University FAX:(765)4940517 EMAIL:jpr@flowcyt.cyto.purdue.edu WEB: http://www.cyto.purdue.edu
