I just wanted to thank everybody regarding my hematogone questions. As always in this group, I received some very good feedback. Most people considered populations#1 (CD19+, CD45 very dim, CD34+, CD10+, TdT+, low FALS) and #2 (CD19+, CD45 dim, low FALS, TdT often neg, CD10 dimmer, CD34neg) as hematogones. Mary Alice - if you read this, is there any chance we could address the phenotype of hematogones within the flow course in Montpellier? Still not sure why one does not see a spectrum of maturational stages which would make me feel better. The populations seem to "jump" from being CD34+ or TdT+ to CD34 or TdT + or negative. Somebody else saw the same "jump" with the CD22 expression. If they didn't have the characteristic low FALS, one could mistake them for ALL cells.... Thank you again Andrea Illingworth Flow cytometry lab Bangor, ME
