FACS Operator needed

The Flow Cytometry Facility of the University Health Network of Toronto
(Canada) at the Princess Margaret Hospital is looking for a permanent
full time assistant to the manager of the facility.  Functions
include:   routine quality control and calibration of instruments;
maintenance and troubleshooting;  cell sorting;  FACS training for
students, post docs, and investigators;  assisting in experiment design
and implementation;  provide reliable advice with respect to flow
cytometry and biological aspects;  informatics;  invoicing;  ordering;
and participation in all routines.

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in immunology, cell biology,
physiology or related field (M.Sc. preferred);  must have experience
with analyzers (4 color FACSCalibur / 3 FACScans / Epics-XL), and
extensive sorting experience (3 beam, dual laser FACStar Plus and
FACSVantage w TSO, ACDU, 7th detector upgrade, PP etc.;  and 8 color
MoFlo).  Most work is research oriented although clinical applications
are increasing.
