RESEARCH TECHNICIAN II:  Cell Processing and Analysis Core Lab (Job #3200)
The Puget Sound Blood Center Research Division is looking for a scientific
technician with required experience operating and maintaining a flow
cytometer and cell sorter. Duties will include routine calibration and
maintenance of two BD instruments (FACSVantage and FACSCalibur), analyses of
single- and multi-color labeled cells, and purification of cells by
fluorescent sorting both for in-house and outside users. Requirements:
College degree in biological sciences; Master's a plus.  Minimum 1-2 years
experience with flow cytometry and analyzing cell cycle for cell cycle
status.  DNA ploidy, and apoptosis experience beneficial. Demonstrated
effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and ability
to work independently and in a team environment also required. Application

for this Non-Exempt position is (J): $12.35 - $15.44 - $18.48 per hour.
