Multiple labs

Flowers-

We are setting up a flow lab in another country. We are planning on
running samples both there and here in the US and are looking for ideas
for QC and making sure the data generated by the two machines are
comparable. Unfortunately, they are not the same instrument; in the US
we have an Elite ESP and outside we'll have an XL (so at least they're
both Coulter). Any suggestions for references or personal experience
would be most welcome. The kinds of info I had in mind are: What kinds
of beads do you run and how much of that daily QC info is it necessary
to document? When running experiments, what kind of controls do you
routinely run? What the best way of comparing data from two different
instruments? Is there a panel (or set of panels) that we should use to
do this? Is there an "official" way of doing this - i.e. something
analogous to CAP certification?

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

cheers-

Regina
