Dear Flowers,

Due to some errors in the mail adress I am not sure if my last querry
reached you...So I am sending the problem again.
We try to use green-fluorescent BODIPY conjugated hyaluronic acid
(Molecular Probes) to study binding of hyaluronian by human monocytes.
The problem we can't resolved is very high (>90%) dose undependent
binding of this compound to the surface of monocytes. Morever, this
binding is not blocked by the use of unlabelled hyaluronic acid, so it
seems to be completely unspecific. Does anyone have an experience with
the use of this compound? Is it possible that human monocytes
preferentialy bind BODIPY?
Any comments will be appreciated.
Best regards,
