I agree with Howard, there's no way to do a "simple one colour
analysis" The beauty of Flow Cytometry is that it gives you lots of
information on each samples you run. Even DNA and Ploidy analyses
require differentiation of doublets v singlets which requires rigorous
inspection of various signal properties. To run single colour analyses
would be to give you erroneous information in most cases. If you are
looking to release a one colour instrument, be careful what you choose
as your primary signal. If you are looking to release a new
fluorochrome, be careful of its spectral qualities. If you are looking
to increase market share in healthcare, be careful that you have the
right instrument.
