To All: Our lab is using a lysing solution produced by Ortho. It comes in a small bottle and makes 100ml of solution. Ortho has discontinued the item. The product in the bottle is the standard Ammonium Chloride reagent. It is handy in the clinical environment in that it is easily prepared and comes with the proper QC/Paperwork. I am looking for a substitute. Any ideas besides making it up from scratch? Is there a like product on the market? No fixative. All help will be appreciated.
