Hello, A colleague in our department is interested in methods she can use to detect the binding of a non-domestic cat lentivirus to different cell populations by flow cytometry. She has an antibody to an env protein that she can use to visualize the virus. We have found a few references using flow cytometry to detect viral binding, but were wondering if anyone on the list could share their experience about the sensitivity of this approach in general. Also, I was wondering anyone has tried biotinylating viral particles and using those to detect binding to cells, and if this might be more sensitive. Thanks very much Anne ==================================== Anne Avery, VMD, PHD Department of Pathology Colorado State Univ Ft.
