Joining the thread on digital cameras for microscopes - I recently got an e-mail from Kodak; they will be happy to sell me (or you) one of their digital cameras (DC290) and the appropriate adapter lens for about $2,400; I need to find my own C-mount and a copy of Adobe Photoshop (I assume their software works as a Photoshop plug-in). It's certainly a thought, but what irritates me is that the adapter lenses cost more than the cameras, and are much simpler to build. However, I suppose that reflects the fact that there are more barbeque photographers than microscope photographers, and that the camera manufacturers figure that if you can afford the microscope, you can afford the adapter. -Howard
